Alleged Intoxicated Ridgewood Women’s Vehicle Recovered by Glen Rock Police

Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police report  that at 2:44 a.m. on May 28th while on patrol along Highwood Avenue, Sgt. Bryan Scott came upon a Jeep which was unoccupied in the travel portion of the roadway with the driver side door ajar. The keys were located in the vehicle, which was littered with garbage. A woman’s makeup bag was also recovered in the street near the vehicle.

The vehicle’s owner was located at her apartment in Ridgewood. She was in a highly intoxicated state and first claimed that her vehicle was in the driveway by her apartment. She then claimed it had been stolen along with a purse belonging to another woman at her apartment. These allegations were investigated by the Ridgewood Police Department.

As all the occupants of the apartment were intoxicated or did not have valid drivers’ licenses, the vehicle was parked on Highwood Avenue and secured by officers at the scene. The owner was advised to contact the Glen Rock Police Department when she is sober to claim her vehicle.
