Allendale NJ, a chimney fire in Allendale quickly escalated into a working structure fire late Monday night, but swift action by firefighters and mutual aid crews helped contain the blaze.
Fire Breaks Out, Spreads to Attic
🚨 At approximately 9:30 PM, the Allendale Fire Department was dispatched to a reported chimney fire in the borough. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed an active structure fire, prompting a working fire assignment and a 2nd Alarm Card for additional resources.
🔥 As the fire spread into the attic, crews from Engine 935, Engine 932, and Ladder 942 quickly got to work alongside mutual aid companies.
Firefighters Take Action
🔹 Tower 641 from the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched and positioned in the home’s driveway.
🔹 Crews ventilated the roof as the fire began to spread through the attic.
🔹 Firefighters aggressively knocked down the flames and prevented further damage.
No Injuries Reported, All Occupants Safe
✅ All occupants were safely accounted for, thanks to the Allendale Police Department, which ensured the residents were out of the home before firefighters arrived.
🚒 Northwest Bergen Mutual Aid departments worked together to battle the challenging fire, preventing it from causing even more destruction.
