  1. >It’s been 10 days! I don’t understand why news of this young man’s disappearance wasn’t put out in the media immediately.

  2. >They say with AMBER alerts, the faster it is reported the HIGHER the chance of a successful finding.

I agree – why has it taken so long to put this out there.

  3. >How scary that a 15-year-old is roaming around this country.

  4. >how about posting a photgraph of Arijit

  5. >There are photo posters in the library.

My guess is that this boy is a runaway and his parents choose to keep this private for the first few days.

He is Indian, according to the library poster, and culturely I’m sure the family would rather keep this quiet and private.

The poster said he had no credit cards or ways to phone home, but my son said they heard he had taken some cash with him.

Hopefully he returns home safe and sound when his cash runs out.

  6. >My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to this family. I hope for this child’s safe and swift return home.

  7. >For anyone who prays in any way, this is the time to do it.

Let’s each pray in our own way, or send out good vibes, for Arijit to come home safely, and for the family to be okay emotionally from all this.

I’m sure it has long-term effects, even after the child returns. They need love and understanding. This could happen to ANYBODY.

  8. >You’re right 4:52 PM. This could happen to any family. My thoughts and prayers are with Arijit and his family.

  9. >Who ever put the fact that this boy was carrying a certain amount of money on him should be banned from writing. This makes him a target.

  10. >Perhaps some of the folks in town who work in the television media can see if the family would like them to put his picture on the air.

We have a lot of TV people in town and some of them read the blog.

Getting his picture out there would help if it ok with his family.

  11. >I understand that this is not the first time this boy has run away. This is devastating to his family.

May he return safely and quickly.
