Twp. of Washington NJ, on Saturday July 8, 2023 at approximately 10:00am, the NJ Army National Guard will be landing a Blackhawk Helicopter at Memorial Field as part of an event for a local Boy Scout Troop. Please note that this is a scheduled event with subsequent permissions from the town and NJANG officials, so please do not be alarmed by its presence.
The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk is a four-blade, twin-engine, medium-lift utility military helicopter manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft. Sikorsky submitted the S-70 design for the United States Army’s Utility Tactical Transport Aircraft System competition in 1972.
