Paramus NJ, according to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco , “as we look to the future of what education should be, it is critical to anticipate the needs not just in education, but in the workforce. Part of that is understanding that there are thousands of high paying jobs out there that are technical in nature but don’t require a college degree. Well, yesterday, the County’s Technical School District celebrated the groundbreaking of a milestone project to construct a new Career and Technical Education school in Paramus that supports that goal and will help ensure that Bergen County continues to remain competitive in the 21st century global economy. The new CTE school will support alternative paths and build a more inclusive education system, with something for every single student, all while helping ensure Bergen County remains competitive in the 21st century global economy.”
“Once open, students across Bergen County will have the opportunity to be exposed to emerging and high demand industries such as fabrication and design, dental science, and one of the fastest growing industries here in Bergen County… supply chain logistics. This is a major win for our already stellar Bergen Technical Schools that has led the way for decades offering cutting edge and diverse disciplines from the hard sciences to engineering, to the culinary arts, to the traditional trades. We thank the NJ State Department of Education for selecting our Technical School District as a Building Our Children’s Future grant recipient and look forward to celebrating the school’s grand opening in the near future!
