Hackensack NJ, the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders held their second annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Ceremony to recognize officers who response went above and beyond the call of duty in service to their community. Sheriff Anthony Cureton was asked to present a certificate to Bergen County Sheriff’s Officer Joseph Joseph Campolattaro and member of the US Armed Forces Melissa Czarnogursky for an off-duty feat while on their way to go hiking in upstate New York.
On September 1, 2019, Campolattaro and Czarnogursky observed a horrific motorcycle accident where the victim, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle, suffered an extremely serious injury to her arm. Officer Campolattaro and Czarnogursky immediately pulled over to the side of the road, grabbed an improved First Aid Kit and immediately applied a Combat Action Tourniquet (CAT) from their car and rendered aid to the victim, continuing to provide medical attention until local police and EMT’s arrived on the scene.

Please give us a break already look what they make. Talk about appreciation. What about everyone else, how about appreciating the garbage man. My God already enough.
