Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 42-year-old JENNIFER GARCIA-MOTA of Hackensack, NJ, on the charge of endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Hackensack Police Department, under the direction of Chief Michael Antista.

In early November 2025, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that occurred in the past. The investigation revealed that JENNIFER GARCIA-MOTA had prior knowledge of the assaults occurring and allowed them to continue.

As a result of the investigation, on Friday, November 7, 2025, JENNIFER GARCIA-MOTA was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(2); fourth-degree child abuse, N.J.S.A. 9:6-1; and fourth-degree child neglect, N.J.S.A. 9:6-3. GARCIA-MOTA was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Hackensack Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
