For soccer fans across North Jersey, the draw—which determined the 12 groups of four teams—was appointment viewing, with local gatherings, including one at Varitage Brew Works in Bloomfield, celebrating the selections.
With the FIFA World Cup Final set for MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on July 19, 2026, the entire region is gearing up for a historic six weeks of action.
The Draw is Complete: What Happens Next?
The highly anticipated draw assigned 48 participating teams into 12 groups. While 42 teams have secured their spots, the remaining 6 will be determined by upcoming playoff tournaments.
