Paramus NJ, the Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Foundation received a major donation from Foundation trustee Robert Brown to mark Giving Tuesday, a worldwide day to encourage people to donate their time and money to good causes.
Brown presented The Foundation with a check for $250,000 on Tuesday. On hand to receive the check were Deborah Visconi, President & CEO, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, Lou Weiss, Foundation Chair, and Bergen County Commissioners Mary Amoroso and Germain Ortiz.
“We appreciate Rob’s continued generous support of Bergen New Bridge,” said Visconi. “Donations to the Foundation allow us to support innovation, enhance the campus and facilities for employees, patients and residents, and provide vital programs to the communities we serve.”
Brown previously donated $100,000 in May 2021 to the Capital Campaign dedicated to the major renovation of the Medical Center’s Emergency Department.
“It really is a pleasure that I am able to do this for this facility,” said Brown. “It is not just what we are building here, we are truly transforming this place, but it is the people that work here, they really do make the difference.”
“It is amazing what is going on with the Medical Center, it is a true renaissance,” said Bergen County Commissioner Germaine Ortiz. “This Foundation continues to grow and what a way to celebrate Giving Tuesday with this generous donation that is going to make such an incredible difference.”
‘We are so proud of the rebirth of this hospital,” said Bergen County Commissioner Mary Amoroso. “But rebirth also requires funding, and we are thankful for Rob’s most generous donation to the Bergen New Bridge Foundation to continue working toward transforming lives and saving lives here at the Medical Center.”
“The Foundation greatly appreciates Rob’s donation which is helping to kick off a major capital campaign that will allow us to transform our emergency department,” said Lou Weiss, Foundation Chair. “The Foundation is growing, and we encourage anyone who wants to be involved to reach out to us if you want to be a part of the renaissance here at Bergen New Bridge.”
