Workshop Goal :
To demonstrate an effective approach achieving the rendering of light on the human head as it relates to FORM, TONE and COLOR.
Bringing all three crucial elements of a successful portrait together. Avoiding the retracing of steps that lead to overwork and discord.

Getting away from painting by filling in the spaces between the lines. In order to freely express and paint a true portrait, this must grow out of a command on a freedom of execution.

Saturday will consist of a painting demonstration followed by question and answers, a palette talk and technique discussion with examples of past and present.

Sunday will be all working from the live model, with the option of the full figure or concentration on the portrait. there will be instructor’s input and constructive critique.
