SELLOUT: Debt Up $2.7T in 2.5 Yrs Under Boehner Debt-Limit Deals
February 12, 2014 – 12:42 PM

(CNSNews.com) – The debt of the U.S. government has increased by $2.678 trillion in the 2.5 years since House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) completed his first deal to put legislation increasing the debt limit through a Republican-controlled House of Representatives.

On Aug. 2, 2011, President Barack Obama signed legislation, approved by the Boehner-led House, permitting the Treasury to increase the debt by $900 billion. Since then, the debt limit has been repeatedly suspended by legislation that needed to pass through the Republican-controlled House.

Yesterday, the House once again passed legislation to suspend the debt limit—this time through March 15, 2015, which is after November’s mid-term congressional elections.

This time, the House voted 221 to 201 (with 10 members not voting) to suspend the debt limit.  The majority consisted of House Democrats plus 28 House Republicans–including Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) and House Majority Leader Mickey Cantor (R.-Va.).

  1. Sell out according to who?

  2. Ted Cruz Warns: “This Nation Is On the Brink Of Having a Functioning Government”

  3. I would vote for him for president. He is finally leading

  4. Boehner looks like Jack Lahr in “The Wizard of Oz” in that picture.

  5. Republicans need to keep the focus on Obamacare for the next 8 months in order to win back the Senate.
After that they can work on deficit reduction.
    It’s a chess game. Give up a pawn to capture a bishop…

  6. They can focus all they want,…if the senatorial timber consists of idiots like O’Donnell, Mourdoch, Akin, Miller, etc., the senate stays in the hands of the dems….

  7. Written by well you know my name. My kids ask me not to write, but we all know who I am. Well, who cares what goes in in Congress or the Government. It seems to me, the citizens will listen to whatever their officials tell them, even if it goes against the Constitution and is illegal. So, who is really the idiot? Mr. Smith, you are always commenting on everything in government, so I guess you would never go against our Constitution, would you? To condone, spying on people, including teenage girls, in their homes, including bathroom, hacking their phones, computer, cable, fax machine (try picking it up and the person on the other end repeats back what you just said in your house) stalking them everywhere they go, destroying their house, breaking windows, taking doors off the house, stripping locks off doors so you can’t get out, having them gaslighted, stalking teenage daughter, terrified, screaming, hunting her down in cars, people watching you 24/7, trying to drive you and her insane. I’m sure you are way to smart to participate in that, even if your “officials” told you to do it. Nazi tactics, but I guess if you think about it, Hitler and his “army” were the first original Government Gang Stalkers. BTW, Mr. Smith, I heard you were in Japan, but I thought I saw you driving a car with an out of state license plate. I’m sure I was mistaken.

  8. Yes, I do comment….for what I believe…you miss the point that the senate would be 48-50 with 2 independents if not for the 2 candidates that made incredibly stupid comments about rape (Indiana and Mizzou), another who was tagged as a Scientologist who wanted to scrap SS (Angle) and wouldn’t deal with the press (Harry Reid was on his way out until Mark Levin’s and Sarah’s cheerleaders got Angle on the ballot) and of course, Delaware would have had a republican rep if Mr. Castle got on the ballot. There were 3 to win and 1 to lose and the GOP ran the table-NOT. Those that were bumped off the ballot actually were legitimate constitutionalists. The repubs have to stop being the party of stupid, as stated by Governor Jindal. They all blew the independent vote and the gender vote (big time). And yes I was a Japan resident for a number of years and I do have NJ plates on my car. I have concerns about constitutional over reach as well, and the way to address that is to elect reasonable reps, not idealogues, which applies to both sides. And you forgot the stealing from your children diatribe :)… your serve worthy adversary….
