Ridgewood NJ, The train station parking lot is being reconfigured to create additional parking spaces. W have been informed that the construction will begin on Thursday April 4th not Wednesday, April 3, 2019, with 30 to 40 parking spaces, both metered and unmetered, being temporarily unavailable from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The construction will last approximately three to four months. In addition, meters in the train station lot will be replaced with a central parking kiosk to receive payment. Payment may also be made by Parkmobile.
As a reminder, the premium parking permit (the hang tag which is used in the train station lot) may be used in all parking lots, except the Hudson Street parking lot. The premium parking permit is not valid in the shoppers/diners parking spaces nor is it valid in the Central Business District Employee parking spaces.
During the reconstruction period:
- Residents are encouraged to make alternate travel plans to/from the train station as parking will be limited.
- In the event of severe weather, work may be postponed.
- For your safety, please obey all posted signs and do not travel through barricaded areas.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work to improve Ridgewood train station parking lot.
Holy shit!
Less then 24 hour notice !
Ha ha I love it. Well box somewhere else leave early so you can find a parking spot. Can you start walking. Have fun.
So many reg. on where you can park in the CBD. Next this council will come up with alternate side parking on Monday and Wednesday or how about congestion pricing plan. There is no limits.
30-40 parking spaces closed for 3 or 4 months. Was this add into the total figure that this project will cost the taxpayers of Ridgewood? Will we ever know?
Hated Paul’s giant garage, don’t think at this point we need the smaller version but most of all I hate taking trees and green space no matter how small for more for extra spaces at the Train Station which will not make a difference in the end and will cost commuters an arm and a leg. Also agree with the post about over regulation in the CBD. If anything is going to hurt the downtown businesses it will be this. I almost feel like first come first served would be a better plan and open up the streets with free parking. It has been done on other towns.
Ridgewood is a joke. Can’t wait to get out of here.
Stupidiest action they have taken (nah, can’t say that among other actions). Really disappointed in this slate of council members. Want my donations back. Would throw their signs out if I haven’t already. Will make sure those in county government know about the discontent that is simmering throughout the town.
Cant make this up
They commute daily
They are asses for mini cooper class no less
Completely tone and sense deaf
How about motorcycle s .
Completely Avoidable
Butchery
Lot floods today
No ramifications to the royalty at city hall
They dont even know that motorcycles are parked in far corner
All this construction avoidable and dangerous to
Users Foot commuters and drop off pickup zone traffic
No Farmer’s market this summer? cause no parking. And next year no room for people to walk to Farmer’s market. Farmer’s Market won’t come here anymore.
Move the farmers market somewhere else. Plenty of spots for them. They make a mess anyway.
Does anybody know when they’re going to start the construction of the garage at Hudson Street in the CBD.
Construction of the garage at Hudson Street is now scheduled to begin on August 28th.
We wonder why.
