The Ridgewood Choral, a cornerstone of the New Jersey arts community since 1928, has officially opened applications for its prestigious annual scholarship awards. These scholarships aren’t just about financial support; they offer a historic stage for the next generation of musical stars to shine.


The Awards: $3,000 in Funding for Future Artists

For nearly 60 years, the Ridgewood Choral Scholarship Fund has been helping students transition from high school performers to professional musicians. This year, two distinct awards are up for grabs:

  • The Florence Reinauer Memorial Music Award ($2,000): Established in 1967, this award recognizes absolute excellence in either vocal or instrumental performance.

  • The Marjorie Vandervoort Vocal Award ($1,000): Named in honor of the Choral’s longtime Music Director, this scholarship is dedicated exclusively to vocal excellence.

Competition for these awards is high, with only ten applicants being selected for the live audition round. Mark your calendars:
