ENGLEWOOD, NJ — a local Bergen County furniture store narrowly avoided major structural damage on June 26, when a white SUV crashed through the front of Palisade Furniture, located on the 100 block of South Dean Street.
Vehicle Smashes Into Storefront in Morning Crash
The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m., sending glass and debris scattering across the store’s interior. Eyewitnesses reported a sudden impact as the SUV barreled through the showroom window, damaging several pieces of furniture on display.
City of Englewood Fire Department and EMS Respond Swiftly
The Englewood Fire Department was on the scene within minutes, working to secure the area and assess any immediate hazards. Fire crews operated on-site for approximately one hour as they coordinated the safe removal of the vehicle from the store.
Englewood Health personnel also evaluated the driver for injuries. At the time of reporting, no serious injuries have been confirmed.
Store Avoids Major Damage, Investigation Ongoing
Fortunately, no significant structural damage to the building was immediately reported, and no customers or employees were harmed in the crash. However, the extent of internal damage is still being assessed.
Englewood Police Department and other emergency personnel remained on-site to investigate the cause of the crash. As of now, no official statement has been released regarding the driver’s condition or any citations issued.
