More research discovered that a building behind Charlie Brown’s had gas pumps and was in operation sometime in the 1980s, prompting a further investigation to see if there were any underground storage tanks. Scans found no underground tanks, but a photograph that showed gas pumps on the site warranted further investigation.

The township’s contract to buy the property includes a 60-day due diligence period, in which more investigation is allowed. That is scheduled to end on June 18.

  1. In NJ its impossible to find a site without contamination, so opponents will use it to their benefit.
At my summer house its usually a butterfly or moth habit used to stifle a project. (by those who already got their place built and don’t want neighbors)

  2. Melisson been going to have to develop that area anyway so if it’s not gonna be a police station/Dpw site, you watch you’ll get more housing you’ll see.
