- Shortly after, two other men attempted to use counterfeit bills but were denied by staff.
- Rita’s Italian Ice Incident
- Just before 5 p.m. on Sunday, the owner of Rita’s Italian Ice contacted police.

How to Spot a Counterfeit $100 Bill
To help businesses avoid becoming victims of counterfeit scams, here are some quick tips for verifying $100 bills:
- Feel the texture: Genuine bills have raised printing.
- Check the watermark: Hold the bill up to the light to spot a faint image of the figure depicted on the note.
- Inspect the security thread: Look for the embedded strip that runs vertically and glows under UV light.
Businesses in the Glen Rock area are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to local authorities.
