COUNTY CLERK EXPANDS PHOTO CARD PROGRAM to Seniors for Discounts
Now Being Offered to Bergen County Seniors and Exempt Firefighters
Bergen County Clerk is pleased to announce the expansion of the Bergen County Clerk’s office’s Photo Card Program to now include Golden Key Photo Cards for Bergen County residents 62 and older and Exempt Firefighters. Starting Monday, June 24, 2013, the cards will be issued at the Bergen County Clerk’s Office.
The wallet-sized card, which is currently offered to veterans, can be used at participating businesses or organizations which offer discounts. It cannot be used to conduct official business or to secure benefits.
To obtain a card, seniors or exempt firefighters must fill out an application and provide the necessary documentation. Seniors must present a copy of their birth certificate, current US Passport or driver’s license. Exempt Firefighters must present a copy of their Exempt Firefighter Certificate or a letter from the Exempt Association Secretary. There is no fee for the photo cards.
“I am pleased to continuously offer additional services to the citizens of Bergen County,” stated Clerk Hogan.
Seniors and Exempt Firefighters can obtain a photo card by visiting the Office of the Bergen County Clerk, One Bergen County Plaza, Room 122, Hackensack, N.J. 07601. Office hours are Mondays from 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM and Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Clerk Hogan pointed out that in the weeks following this initial roll-out, he plans to take the Photo Card Program “on the road” by visiting Senior Citizens Centers, Veterans Organizations and Fire Organizations.
