GLEN ROCK, NJ — A 19-year-old Dumont man has been arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old Fair Lawn woman at a Glen Rock strip mall earlier this month, according to police.
The woman reported the incident to Fair Lawn Police at 3:42 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, saying the assault occurred on August 16 in a shopping center located on the 800 block of Prospect Street, just outside the borough, Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
Multi-Agency Investigation Leads to Arrest
Following a joint investigation involving the Fair Lawn and Glen Rock Police Departments, with assistance from Dumont Police, authorities identified and arrested Thomas L. Godlewski, 19, of Dumont.

Recklessly causing bodily injury
Suspect in Custody at Bergen County Jail
Police said Godlewski was taken into custody by Dumont Police, transported to Glen Rock Police Headquarters for processing, and later booked into the Bergen County Jail, where he awaits a court appearance in Hackensack.
