Englewood, NJ – The Elisabeth Morrow School (EMS) is strengthening its commitment to local partnership by dedicating its main athletic space as the Ostfeld Community Field. Following a generous gift from the Ostfeld Family, the field is set to become much more than just a campus asset—it’s poised to be a resource for the entire community.

The official Ostfeld Community Field Naming Dedication took place during the annual EMS Fall Festival on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Recognizing Generosity and Community Ties

The ceremony honored the significant contributions of Scott and Jen Ostfeld and their family. Jen Ostfeld is particularly well-known in the region, serving as a former EMS trustee and an Emmy-winning news reporter with NBC New York.

The family’s donation has allowed the field to be significantly enhanced, bolstering its role as a central hub for student activities. However, the school’s vision extends far beyond its own gates.

A Commitment to Shared Resources

Marek Beck, the Head of School at The Elisabeth Morrow School, emphasized the institution’s plan to make the field accessible to its neighbors:

“As we formally name this field in honor of the Ostfeld Family, The Elisabeth Morrow School is reaffirming its deep commitment to community engagement. This is more than a campus field—it is a genuine community asset. We are committed to finding further opportunities to welcome our partners in local public schools, sporting organizations, and our neighbors, ensuring this space is utilized and celebrated by the community.”

This initiative means local youth leagues, public school teams, and other community partners in Englewood and surrounding Bergen County towns may soon have access to a beautifully maintained, modern playing space.
