Englerwood NJ, a violent weekend encounter in Englewood has led to the arrest of a local resident now facing a litany of felony charges, including attempted murder.

On Sunday morning, January 18, 2026, gunfire erupted on Charles Street, leaving a woman injured and sparking a rapid investigation by the Englewood Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.


The Details of the Shooting

According to Bergen County officials, the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Christian Parra-Pescoso of Englewood, allegedly targeted the female victim during the early morning hours.
