  1. >This morning I was in the train station getting my coffee around 9am and I was observing an incident that started me to think about it on my way to the office. Now first of all I do not want to come off like a “Grinch” and I do believe the work that is being done to help the people that need food is great but how they approach it in Ridgewood is wrong.

Every thanksgiving the Train station is converted into a depot to drop off and package for the food drive. The train station has out grown this annual event and is not the place any longer. The cans and cartons are all over the place and I as a commuter find it difficult to move around to get my coffee and wait for the train. Again I do not want to sound like I am against the work being done but I know we can find other venues to do this food drive. We can use any school or even our Village hall (just as long as it does not flood). But that is not what really bothered me this morning what bothered me was watching the women in charge of this food drive with attitudes on them that was quite out of the ordinary for people volunteering. They gave such a hard time to the Coffee lady this morning that it was mind boggling that people helping others would come in with such attitude. It was like they are doing some good so they have the right to be nasty to others. Is that the meaning of Thanksgiving?

  2. >Well we are in Ridgewood don’t forget. Aren’t we allowed to be nasty?
