Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, a large shade tree came crashing down across West Saddle River Road, just north of Hollywood Avenue, on the morning of Sunday, May 4, disrupting utility services for multiple residents in the area.
The fallen tree caused significant damage to two utility poles, leading to outages and service interruptions for electricity, internet, cable TV, and telephone lines.
The Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department quickly responded to the scene, working alongside emergency crews from PSE&G’s Electric Division, as well as tree removal contractors and technicians from various telecommunication service providers.
Road closures and temporary detours were put in place to ensure safety while crews worked to remove the debris and restore utility services.
Officials have not reported any injuries, and full restoration efforts were underway by Sunday afternoon.
Residents are encouraged to report any remaining issues directly to their service providers.
