MINNEAPOLIS, MN — As the massive $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud case moves into its final stages, the legal consequences for those who exploited child nutrition programs are becoming clear.
In the latest updates as of January 1, 2026, the mastermind behind the nation’s largest pandemic-era fraud scheme has been hit with a multi-million dollar forfeiture order, while high-profile co-conspirators begin their journey to federal prison.
🏛️ Aimee Bock: The Mastermind’s $5.2M Forfeiture
Following her conviction on multiple federal charges in early 2025, Aimee Bock, the founder and executive director of the nonprofit Feeding Our Future, is facing the financial fallout of her actions.
A federal judge recently cleared the path for the government to seize millions in assets tied to Bock, including:
-
Cash Assets: Over $3.5 million in Feeding Our Future bank accounts.
-
Luxury Items: A 2013 Porsche and high-end jewelry found at her Rosemount home.
-
Total Restitution: A preliminary forfeiture judgment totaling $5.2 million.
Bock, who orchestrated the scheme that falsely claimed to have served 91 million meals, remains jailed as she awaits her final sentencing date.
⚖️ Sharon Ross Sentenced for “Flagrant Fraud”
One of the most high-profile sentences handed down recently belongs to Sharon Ross, 54, the former executive director of House of Refuge Twin Cities.
Ross was sentenced to 43 months (3.5 years) in federal prison after admitting she pocketed $2.4 million meant for hungry children. Judge Nancy Brasel described the crime as “flagrant,” noting that Ross was already on probation for another fraud case when she launched this scheme.
-
The Deception: Ross claimed her charity fed thousands of children at area churches; however, religious leaders testified they had never heard of her organization.
-
The Spending Spree: The stolen funds were used for vacations to Florida and Las Vegas, a suite at the Target Center, and the purchase of her home in Willernie, which she has now been ordered to forfeit.
🛑 Wave of New Guilty Pleas
The “Feeding Our Future” dominoes continue to fall as more defendants admit to their roles in the conspiracy. Last week, a trio associated with the Brava Restaurant in Rochester entered guilty pleas:
-
Zamzam Jama (50), Mustafa Jama (48), and Asha Jama (42): The family members admitted to laundering hundreds of thousands of dollars through shell companies.
-
The Forfeitures: As part of their pleas, the Jamas are forfeiting property in Rosemount and Lakeville, several vehicles, and nearly $250,000 in seized bank funds.
Additionally, Abduljabar Hussein and his wife Mekfira Hussein have both pleaded guilty to obtaining up to $8.8 million through their nonprofit, Shamsia Hopes. They admitted to paying kickbacks to Aimee Bock in exchange for her sponsorship of their fraudulent sites.
🔍 Investigation Context: $250 Million Stolen
The Feeding Our Future scandal represents a staggering betrayal of public trust. Prosecutors allege that over $250 million in federal funds—money designed to keep children fed during the COVID-19 lockdowns—was instead diverted to fund lavish lifestyles, international real estate, and luxury cars.
To date, over 80 individuals have been charged, and nearly 60 have already pleaded guilty or been convicted at trial.

I thought this was Feed the Frontlines. My bad.
When will the New Jersey Attorney General wake up and look into Feed The Front Lines scandal?
Ridgewood received 4M dollars which was routed through healthbarn and then went to Mayor Paul Vagianos owned restaurants and close friends.
Not all Ridgewood restaurants received that grant money.
There is no log or audit around where the food was distributed.
Some volunteers distributed some food, but for 4M dollars worth of food, you need a lot of volunteers and some sort of tracking!!!
It’s already been reported to the proper agency’s for investigation.
There will come a time and place when justice will be served and those responsible will be held to account.
I guarantee it.
They breed like rabbits…the tsunami is coming…
