Former Director of the Department of Pediatrics at The Valley Hospital 2010 letter
Check out Cannalito’s other letter (from 2010), https://www.northjersey.com/opinion/on-expansion-of-the-valley-hospital-1.941110?page=all
In it, he says “I suggest that the Valley administration, if it has not already done so, explore the option of moving the hospital out of Ridgewood, then consider converting its campus in one of three ways: as an in-patient and out-patient mental health and/or drug treatment and rehabilitation center, a nursing care facility or housing.
“It is often better to deal with someone or something you are familiar with and know, even if it is not ideal, than take a risk of dealing with an unknown person or thing. Ridgewood residents should carefully consider that.”
I wonder if he got his playbook from that attorney who unsucessfully suggested if zoning for a house on Ridgewood Avenue wasn’t changed to two homes, it might become a drug rehab.
This doctor is amassing quite a body of work. Unfortunately it’s not work that would enhance his reputation with either side of the Valley argument. Those of us opposed to Valley’s expansion and their tactics to get it approved just see him as another pro-Valley crackpot. Those in favor of the expansion must be letting out a collective groan at one of their own’s ongoing display of profound and public ignorance.
So if you are pro Valley you will now be called names?
the funny think about a blog time line its dose not go away , so all the Valley name calling of all the residents just sits in the comment sections all over this blog
I guess that was an attempt to subliminally threaten this community but it does nothing to endear Valley, .just highlights the negative approach that has been employed for years . In other words, ‘ this overexpansion has detriments to the village but my cohorts at Valley may bring something even more detrimental to punish your town if they don’t get their way” In reading his list , he mentions housing . Dont see tax paying single family homes as a detriment but an upgrade to area. Maybe he can clarify that remark, otherwise it may be interpreted for having class undertones.
Not at all. Understand the difference between arguing a legitimate basis for anything and putting forth “ts either this or perhaps we’ll put something more detrimental in its place ” . Disgraceful tactic, unfortunately it’s just par the course.
That man is a quack
Doesn’t he live in Mahwah?
Maybe we can all support the massive mall project proposed for Mahwah.
See how that works out for the Doc’s property taxes in the town he lives in!
hmmm, can we get a tax paying tenant there and not a detriment that is feeding off existing taxpayers? I’m all in. Valley, stop threatening to leave and just do it. We’ll get our babies delivered, our arms set, and our cuts healed elsewhere. I know we’ll be just fine. Better if you do leave. Bye. Take Dr. Threatrament, from Mahwah, back..he seems to miss you?
I do feel sorry for all the workers, at Valley, who know that their bosses are so very wrong in their unrealistic actions.
Did you actually read this guy’s letters? “Crackpot” is putting it kindly.
And yes Valley does have several other crackpots supporting them. Are there any kind names out there that would describe someone that supports an organization that is suing them?
I really don’t know if it’s “several” any more.
