George Zimmerman, who has been in hiding since he was acquitted of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, emerged to help rescue a family who was trapped in an overturned vehicle, police said today.

Zimmerman was one of two men who came to the aid of a family of four — two parents and two children — trapped inside a blue Ford Explorer SUV that had rolled over after traveling off the highway in Sanford, Fla. at approximately 5:45 p.m. Thursday, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route Route 46, police said. The crash site is less than a mile from where Zimmerman shot Martin.

  1. Smells like a contrived stunt from Aronsohn’s playbook….

  2. What if Zimmerman hadn’t gotten out of his truck?

  3. This is in no way an event staged to bias public opinion.

And even if it is not: THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. It does not make up for killing an unarmed kid.

    1. Rob a jury of 6 women and 5 mothers found that not to be true , you need to drop the fake politics and lean the facts of the case

  4. Rob, you seem to be aware of some sort of social rulebook. Does it cover a situation when you’ve been asked by your neighbors to keep watch on the neighborhood, you are sitting in your truck, and you see an individual apparently on drugs wandering around your neighbor’s yards in the evening rain?

  5. I can’t wait to read the upcoming bestseller: “The Social Conventions Covering When and When Not To Get Out Of One’s Truck”, by Rob.

  6. #4, they found him innocent of the charges levied against him, and according to the laws in the State of Florida, he was. It does not make it ok to shoot unarmed people.

#5, Being asked by some people does not put a badge and a license to shoot in your wallet. You forgot to mention the part where the police asked him to STAY IN THE TRUCK.

#6, the above point will be covered in the first and only page of the first and only chapter in the book.

  7. Rob, you seem to be aware of some sort of social rulebook. Does it cover a situation when you’re being badly beaten by another individual?

Are there different responses based on the race of the attacker? based on the race of the victim being beaten?

  8. Yes, Rob, a poor unarmed “kid” who was just trying to walk home when suddenly he discovered he was being followed and watched and decided to beat the crap out of the person who was following and watching him. The arrest of George Zimmerman was a political stunt designed to help Obama get out the vote.. and the trial was designed to inflame racial tensions so that the race-baters of the world (Al, Jesse, etc.) can make sure that they can go on making a living by feeding off of hate.

George Zimmerman, nice of you to help out, but if you know what’s best for you, you will stay away from helping anyone — I’m sure the U.S. DOJ is trying to convince the people who Zimmerman helped out of the car to claim that he violated their civil rights (or at a minimum sue him for hurting their necks as he pulled them from the car).

  9. You are correct…
Being asked by some people does not put a badge and a license to shoot in your wallet

The state of Florida “put a license to shoot in his wallet”
He exercised this privilege in a lawful and responsible manner and did not exceed or abuse the scope of his license.

    You are correct again:
they found him innocent of the charges levied against him, and according to the laws in the State of Florida, he was. It does not make it ok to shoot unarmed people.

It is OK to defend yourself (even to use deadly force) when you are in a situation where you are being assaulted (and George Zimmerman was being battered – one step more serious than plain assault) and are at risk of serious bodily injury or death.

  10. Rob, apparently you’ve been paying attention to a different trial. The one we’re all talking about happened in Sanford, FL, not on Mars. The defendent, George Zimmerman, he’s a new breed of human, the media coined it “white Hispanic” (I know, I had never heard of it before this trial either and find it rather confusing, not to mention racist) was aquitted of the charges. He did not murder anyone, he defended his own life after being attacked from the rear (while getting into his truck, as instructed) by a drug-using, thug who was on suspension from his high school for the 3rd time. If the name, Trayvon doesn’t come up when you search him, try “NO_LIMIT_NI**A”, that was his Twitter handle. Some of his more tepid tweets sound like this…”2 glock 40’s bit*h….you got 80 problems. I’m sure you are as anti-2nd Amendment as you are anti-Stand Your Ground, so that last one should really rankle you. If Mr. Zimmerman has a white mother and the race-baiting media consider him “white Hispanic” then shouldn’t Barack Obama be referred to as a “white black” as he too has a white mother. Boy, let me tell ya if all those justice peddlers had just listened to Dr. King, we wouldn’t even know what color Trayvon was, we’d just be judging his impeccable character.

  11. Just to be clear, Stand Your Ground laws were not at issue in the Zimmerman trial, despite what the media, President Obama, Holder and other liberals try to tell us. Zimmerman did not invoke stand your ground because part of his defense was that he was not able to run away since Martin was on top of him. The left is now attacking stand your ground laws by trying to make people think those laws are the reason why Zimmerman was acquitted. The truth is he was acquitted based on standard self-defense, not stand your ground.
