Consignment shops are a rip off. You have to pay to register, probably have your garment dry-cleaned and pressed before you bring it in, they only give you a fraction of the sale, and then if your clothes don’t sell, you have to pay to get them back (usually something like $6/garment to have them “pulled” for you). You wind up with nothing.
