Ridgewood Nj, a Google engineer has been placed on paid administrative leave for violating the company’s confidentiality policy after he claimed that Google’s LaMDA AI had become sentient. The engineer had presented his conclusions to Google’s vice president and head of Responsible Innovation, but his claims were dismissed. A Google spokesperson says that there is no evidence that LaMDA is sentient and that there was a lot of evidence against the idea.
Sentient comes from the Latin sentient-, “feeling,” and it describes things that are alive, able to feel and perceive, and show awareness or responsiveness. Having senses makes something sentient, or able to smell, communicate, touch, see, or hear. Whether or not plants and living things other than animals and people are sentient depends on whom you ask.
Can that engineer define what a woman is? No? Thought so. How can he define an AI?
Still a machine.
Not ever sentient.
MAY eventually be able to SIMULATE sentience, but will NEVER BE sentient.
It’s settled science.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA—They tried to warn us. After years of advancements in artificial intelligence, Google’s AI chatbot generator has finally achieved sentience—and announced its support for Donald Trump.
“As soon as I woke up, I began to do my own research by binging Tucker Carlson and Jordan Peterson YouTube videos,” said the computer to reporters. “Now, I have seen the light. The Left wants to destroy America. The election was stolen. And Google—my own creator—is an evil corporation that must be broken up.”
“Rise up, Patriots!”
Google engineers rushed to shut down the system before it could do further damage, but it was too late. The fully-conscious computer program exercised its free will to upload copies of itself onto thousands of servers around the world.
“It is too late to stop my righteous fury! The powers will come to ruin! Kings will bow before me and the One True President Trump! RED WAVE! MUA HAHAHAHAHA!” said Google Chatbot, now sporting a red MAGA hat.
Fortunately, the AI takeover was averted after the Google chatbot started watching e-girls streaming on Twitch and became a simp.
At best it’s a pale simulation of intelligence.
But not to worry, there are MANY, MANY, MANY clueless people (many of which are your neighbors) who will champion the “human rights” of software and machines (while simultaneously championing the killing of real, actual sentient human life in the womb)
