TRENTON NJ, After announcing indefinite benchmarks for restarting the economy,no timetable to reopen and people continue to suffer socially, economically and mentally. Governor Murphy is clearly making this political as opposed to doing what is best for the people of New Jersey.
Assemblyman Brian Bergen wants Gov. Phil Murphy to put forth an actionable plan sooner rather than later.“Governor Murphy’s plan is telling us that it doesn’t matter how many people are becoming impoverished as long as they don’t get COVID-19,” said Bergen (R-Morris).
The benchmarks did not specify which parts of the economy would be reopened first, leaving that up to a not-yet-established commission.
“People are personally responsible because self-preservation is the most basic human instinct,” continued Bergen. “We can reopen the economy and direct businesses to adhere to strict guidelines. The proof is right in front of us with what current businesses are doing.”
Bergen has been trying to work with the Murphy administration to improve relief for businesses, employees, homeowners and renters since the pandemic began.
“It would not be out of line to close a business for violating safety guidelines, but it is out of line to depress our economy and our constituents,” concluded Bergen. “Personal health before economic health ignores that economic health affects personal health. The long-term problems are bound to be greater than our short-term problems.”
The governor is looking out for our safety in Nj shame on everyone complaining. It’s not until they get sick that they will think otherwise.

Close the schools for the remainder of this school year. Why? Think about the school bus drivers and aides. They are mostly older retired and health compromised. Do you think the children will really wear masks? It’s a big risk. I don’t think the schools are prepared for the new normal either

Murphy has become a dictator. In my opinion he is going to push too far and the people of NJ are going to do what they want. Open the parks, golf courses and open space for the people. Enough about urself

File for state bankruptcy already instead of nickel & diming us with toll & commuter fare hikes, gas tax hikes, and outright tax increases on overtaxed residents.

Ban all cars forever. I have a daughter with poor peripheral vision. She’s high risk for getting hit by a car. I don’t think she’d be safe if we allow cars on the road ever again.

I know governor Murphy is doing a great job
He is 100 percent correct . Money is replaceable peoples lives are not . Cases are still pouring in , and your folks want to open business s really . Like beaches , malls , restaurant s , parks, and bars . No way makes no sense . We should wait to June 1 ,2020 and see what the numbers state .

We need to open for business now! Why are all New Jersey state and county Parks closed when sunlight helps kill the virus?

Opened business but with social distancing and wear mask. We have to eat and pay our obligation. People knows how to protect their self. They know what is wrong and right.
