HACKENSACK NJ, Bergen County Republican Organization Chairman John F. Zisa today excoriated Bergen County Democrats for their failed administration of the 2023 General Election that has left the public wondering how many people voted, whom they voted for, and which candidates truly won.
“Jim Tedesco, John Hogan, and the Bergen County Commissioners have made our county a total laughing stock,” Zisa said. “Each day brings new shifts of tens of thousands of votes without any reasonable explanation.”
Zisa was referring to the election results published by County Clerk John S. Hogan, which were delayed until well after midnight on Election night and then published in two different formats with wildly different results in each format.
“From there, it’s only gotten worse,” Zisa said. “On Thursday, Hogan published ‘updated’ results with tens of thousands of fewer votes only to backtrack and publish obsolete results from Wednesday in their place. These absurd shifts have left us wondering who won and by how many votes.”
Zisa said Hogan and Superintendent of Elections Debra Francica owe the public an explanation as to why these new Dominion machines were purchased in the first place.
“The bloated $15 million contract that Tedesco, Hogan, and the Democrat-controlled Board of Commissioners handed out has been a total disaster,” Zisa said.
According to Zisa, the machines printed blank ballots, blew fuses, ran out of toner, and generally resulted in long lines that forced voters to leave before they could vote.
“If Hogan and his machines can’t give us a smooth election and accurate results in an off-year election with the lowest turnout possible, what will happen during the 2024 presidential race,” Zisa asked?
County Commissioner candidates Mary Jo Guinchard and Agninshalah Collins, who have seen their vote totals rise and fall by almost 20,000 votes in Hogan’s reports, each said the people of Bergen County deserve to know:
– how many bona fide votes each candidate got;
– that Hogan hasn’t counted more votes than voters;
– that the wild swings in results aren’t due to machines flipping votes as happened in Pennsylvania this week;
– who honestly won each and every race, from the state legislature to the borough council.
“This is what happens when one party controls every branch of government without any checks and balances,” Guinchard and Collins said. “Jim Tedesco and John Hogan have to take accountability for their gross negligence and incompetence in this election, and they have to give us accurate election results.”

Thank goodness for mailed-in ballots, right? Everyone should utilize that alternative. So much easier.
