Hackensack Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges Following Major Narcotics Bust

Hackensack NJ, the Hackensack Police Department has announced the arrest of 42-year-old Jhoan Ferreira-Diaz, a Hackensack resident, on multiple serious drug charges following a narcotics investigation led by the department’s Crime Suppression Bureau.

Major Drug Seizure from Hackensack Apartment

The arrest stems from a court-authorized search warrant executed on April 3, 2025, at an apartment in Hackensack. The investigation was conducted by Detective Michael Reo under the supervision of D/Lt. John Dalton and with direction from Chief Michael Antista.

During the search, officers recovered:

  • Over 5 ounces of heroin, packaged for street-level distribution

  • Over 7 ounces of crystal methamphetamine

  • A quantity of cocaine

  • Drug paraphernalia used for the manufacturing and distribution of narcotics

Charges Filed Against Jhoan Ferreira-Diaz

As a result of the findings, Ferreira-Diaz has been charged with multiple drug offenses, including:

  • Distribution of more than 5 ounces of heroin – First-degree crime

  • Distribution of more than 5 ounces of crystal methamphetamine – First-degree crime

  • Possession with intent to distribute heroin within 500 feet of a park – Second-degree crime

  • Possession with intent to distribute crystal meth within 500 feet of a park – Second-degree crime

  • Additional charges related to possession and distribution

Ferreira-Diaz was processed and transported to the Bergen County Jail, where he awaits his initial court appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
