Hackensack NJ, Hackensack Meridian Health’s Hackensack University Medical Center recently broke ground on a $714-million expansion. The nine-story, 530,000-square-foot patient pavilion in Hackensack, NJ will include 24 new operating rooms, a 50-bed intensive care unit, 150 medical/surgery beds and a 50-bed orthopedic center.
“With this innovative new facility, we’ve entered a new era in our ability to serve the health care needs of diverse populations throughout the region,” said Robert C. Garrett, CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health.
RSC Architects of Hackensack, the lead architect, partnered with Houston-based EYP Architects. Stantec Consulting is providing project management services/owner’s representative services. The Wm. Blanchard Co. and Turner Construction have created a joint venture on construction management services for the project, with completion expected in 2022.
The Ridgewood blog has already reported that Valley Health System’s Ridgewood, NJ hospital will be replaced with one in Paramus, at an estimated $735-million cost.
