Hasbrouck Heights, NJ – The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department had a busy day responding to two structure fires within just a few hours on [insert date].
At 2 PM, Chief 60 and Engine 2 were dispatched to assist the City of Hackensack Fire Department with a multiple-alarm structure fire off Main Street. While crews were still operating at that scene, the department received multiple calls reporting a second structure fire in the Borough, this time on Myers Avenue.
Chief 60, Chief 61, Chief 62, and Engine 2 quickly responded and discovered smoke coming from a garage. A 10-30 and a second alarm were immediately transmitted as crews from Engine 2 stretched a line and searched the residence for occupants.
During the search, firefighters located two dogs inside the home and safely removed them from the structure. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department extended their gratitude to all mutual aid departments who assisted on the scene and provided coverage for the Borough during the incident.
