RIDGEWOOD, NJ – The holiday spirit is alive and well in the Village, thanks to an outpouring of generosity for the Ridgewood PBA Local 20 Annual Toy Drive. Law enforcement officials are celebrating a “huge success” this year, crediting local students, athletes, and community groups for a massive team effort that will put smiles on the faces of children across the region.
A Full-Court Press for Charity
This year’s drive saw an incredible boost from the Ridgewood High School (RHS) Boys and Girls Basketball teams. The annual PBA Toy Drive Basketball Game was the highlight of the season, bringing together high-energy sports and community service.
The energy didn’t stop there. Dads Night also stepped up in a big way, donating a mountain of toys collected during their own Toy Drive Basketball Game. This “community teamwork” approach ensured that the collection bins were overflowing well before the mid-December deadline.
“Your time, energy, and community spirit truly made a difference,” the Ridgewood PBA Local 20 shared in a heartfelt thank you to the residents. “Because of you, so many children will have a brighter holiday season.”
🚨 Last Call for Donations!
While the basketball games have wrapped up, the mission isn’t over yet. The Ridgewood PBA is making one final push for donations to reach even more families.
-
What to Donate: New, unwrapped toys.
-
Deadline: Today, December 17th.
-
Where: Donations can be dropped off at the Ridgewood Police Department headquarters.
Whether it’s a board game, a doll, or a sports ball, every single contribution helps prove why Ridgewood is such a special place to live and serve.
The Impact of Your Support
Every toy collected stays within the local community and surrounding areas, helping parents who may be struggling this season provide a magical morning for their kids. The PBA Local 20 remains committed to not just protecting the village, but uplifting its most vulnerable residents during the most wonderful time of the year.
