Ridgewood NJ, good news for young athletes in Ridgewood! The renovation of Upper Hawes Field is moving at a great pace this week, taking advantage of the school closure for the NJEA teachers convention. This major project is on track to be completed over the weekend, just in time for the next season of play.
Thanks to a generous $56,300 donation from the Ridgewood Baseball & Softball Association (RBSA), Upper Hawes is being upgraded and officially converted into a dedicated Little League field. This enhancement will provide a high-quality, regulation-sized space for hundreds of Ridgewood’s youngest baseball and softball players.
The Transformation Details
The upgrade ensures the field meets all the necessary specifications and safety requirements for Little League competition, enhancing the quality of play and overall experience for the community’s youth sports programs.
The RBSA’s commitment to the field reflects their dedication to fostering youth athletics and investing in the necessary infrastructure to support growing leagues.
⚠️ Safety Notice: Please Avoid Hawes Grounds
While the renovation is nearing its finish line, the Ridgewood community is reminded that the construction site remains active.
