House votes to sue Obama

By Cristina Marcos – 07/30/14 08:36 PM EDT

The 225-201 vote fell along party lines, with five Republicans voting against the measure. No Democrats supported it.

The lawsuit is a direct response to GOP frustration with Obama’s wide-ranging use of executive power.

Republicans have been particularly angry over Obama’s decision to ignore several deadlines in the Affordable Care Act and his decision to defer the deportation of certain young people who illegally immigrated to the United States as children.

In the last week, lawmakers have been riled up by reports that immigration advocates and Democrats are pushing the administration to take additional executive actions to give more immigrants legal status.

  1. The house killed the senate immigration bill and today blocked emergency funding for the refugees.

Funny how they are able to get together and agree to sue the President. Republicans can’t do anything to solve real problems.

We have three parties in the country – Democrats, Republicans and conservative republicans. John Boehner and the new leadership are ineffective.

How would passing the Senate’s Immigration Bill solve problems? Firstly, it’s full of pork that has nothing to do with immigration, and the immigration stuff is simply a way of legalizing all these future Democrat voters.

  3. wait the shit is going to come out on this ass hole. and yet people cry’ed when he one. come on what a fuckin joke.

  4. The house has done nothing productive. The senate bill is not all pork – https://www.immigrationpolicy.org/special-reports/guide-s744-understanding-2013-senate-immigration-bill

The do-nothing house is pathetic. Republicans will lose control because Americans are tired of nothing getting done. At least the Senate is trying.

    1. yes the senate is busy with the president turning the US in to a second rate 3rd world county , no thanks

    2. I dont think as many Americans as you think are in favor of destroying this country like Harry Reid the rest of socialist in the senate . No one wants to live in a failed 3rd world country except maybe limo liberals ,cause mommy and daddy will continue to pay the freight . The Senate with go Republican and the House will easily hold , even Ultra Liberal Ridgewood votes for Garrett by a landslide .

  5. If the bill has pork then the House can make amendments and send it back. Doing nothing is a juvenile response. Boehner still can’t get the two branches of the Republican party working together.

    1. nice try , the senate hasn’t and wont pass it

  6. You consider Ridgewood ultra-liberal?

  7. The House has done very important work.
They have blocked Obama from doing further damage to the country…
