Additionally, Biden reached a diversion agreement connected to the unlawful possession of a weapon. The plea deal must first be accepted by a judge and would likely keep Hunter Biden out of jail.
The president’s son was charged with two counts of willful failure to pay income tax. The third charge is from possession of a firearm in 2018, which he was in possession of while using crack cocaine. Biden has denied drug use when applying to secure the gun. In a separate agreement on the gun charge, Hunter Biden will be entered into a pretrial diversion program, which means those charges will likely be taken off of his record if he complies with the terms of the program.

This is terrible-we should continue the fight to defund the IRS so it can’t force citizens to file tax returns and pay taxes. Also how can we allow someone who has never been convicted of any prior crimes to be forced to give up his god given 2nd amendment rights to own guns.

I don’t believe in plea deals. You do the crime, you do the time no matter who you are.
The usual sentence for the gun charge is 3-5 years in federal prison.
The usual sentence for tax evasion is determined by the amount. If its 1.5 million then its 36-63 month

They “punished” one of their own so now the other side can’t complain much about their big guy who disrespectfully hid thousands of worthless pieces of paper in a bathroom and according to them should rot in prison. The deal is to put this thing to bed without any further deeper stuff. He was selling access to the old man for which he, and the old man, were being paid for. This narrative I keep reading on leftist blogs and leftist news about this being just about Hunter’s addiction and nothing to do with the old man is sickening. If this was the Trump family, there would be indictments up the wazoo and 24/7 red-banner breaking news on CNN.
