>Illegally enrolled students?

>The Fly on the wall regularly notices several RHS students waiting for eastbound public buses at Ridgewood and Van Dien Avenues. Is it possible that these students live outside of Ridgewood and are illegally enrolled in our system? Has the BOE recently performed a residency verification check on 100% of all current RHS students?

  1. >My word, maybe their Al Qaeda?! Quick, call RPD, call ICE, call the FBI! Hey, while we are at it, maybe we should tattoo GPS coordinates of students’ homes on their foreheads.

  2. >Clearly these kids live with their “Grandparents or Aunts and Uncles” and are just using the bus to occasionally go home to visit mom and dad. I think we have enough problems already without worrying about the 5 kids in the high school who take the bus or train to school. The question is where do you draw the line.

  3. >anyone ever think that maybe these kids after school JOBS!!!

  4. >what are you, a stalker? Get a life, loser, and stop watching high school students. This is a new low.

  5. >all this squaking only means one thing that some Administrators kid that dosnt live in town goes to school in ridgewood..

  6. >The teachers and administrators are allowed to have their kids go to school in Ridgewood. And any chance these kids live on the other side of 17 over by Glen and catch the nearest bus?

  7. >The above comment is clearly right.

  8. >you guys will stick up for any BS…no matter how stupid….every knows there is way more to the story ,the fly is being kind not naming names…..

  9. >what’s “stupid” is that this is even a topic. SEVERAL possible explanations for kids standing at a bus stop for an eastbound bus have been given: 1) going to a job; 2) going home to Glen School area; 3) going home to another town (their parent is an employee of RPS); 4) going to the mall; honestly, if you have something to say (as in facts) just say it, and stop with the juvenile cloak-and-dagger innuendo. I honestly think some of you are in desperate need of a HOBBY!

  10. >BB it great to watch you squirm….

  11. >what does that mean? I just get frustrated by weird, nonsensical conspiracy theories. Considering most of you are get-the-government-out-of-my-personal-business squawkers, you sure like to get involved in other people’s lives.

  12. >Illegally enrolled students is a significant problem here in Ridgewood. It’s a problem that’s very difficult to prove, and the burden of proof lies with the Village. The parents of these kids live out of town, but they set up fake residential documentation using the addresses of a relative in Ridgewood. If none of this bothers you, then don’t whine the next time your taxes go up.

  14. >I’m not saying that a legitimate crime, if one exists, doesn’t bother me…I know it happens and I know the district works hard to fight it. I just didn’t like the stalking of the kids on the sidewalk. Something about THAT bothers me.

  15. >Skool shood be free 4 everyone. Even in Ridgewood..

  16. >”I just didn’t like the stalking of the kids on the sidewalk.”

Observing activity at a bus stop while driving down Ridgewood Avenue does not classify as “stalking.”

  17. >Fill the buses up with “illegal” kids and your “legal” kids will not have a bus to ride!
