Intel is reportedly on the cusp of delivering something that consumers around the world have been wanting for a long, long time.
Kelly Clay at Forbes reports Intel is going to blow up the cable industry with its own set-top box and an unbundled cable service.
Clay says Intel is planning to deliver cable content to any device with an Internet connection. And instead of having to pay $80 a month for two hundred channels you don’t want, you’ll be able to subscribe to specific channels of your choosing.

I like it . I don’t need to spend 70 bucks and get ch’s I don’t under stand. pay for what I use.
I figure if you cancel your cable, Cablevision / Verizon / Comcast / Time Warner will simply raise your internet rates to offset it, much like a lower assessment is met with higher tax rates.
You will wind up paying the same, but for less channels.
I’d welcome that.
Once someone is able to deliver a fast reliable wireless internet connection, either via tower or satellite, then it would be a great idea. I’d say that in my case, 99 % of the channels on cable are pure shit and I’d never pay for them.
The price per channel will rise dramatically.
you guys must for cable vision and Verizon, I had no cable TV just cable internet for $29.95 a month and payed only $8 per month with Hulu ,there are lots of options TV is just not that important
