Belleville Man Facing Charges Following Sexual Abuse Investigation in North Arlington

NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ — A 36-year-old Essex County man has been arrested and charged following a joint investigation into the sexual abuse of a minor. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Ahmed A. Rady of Belleville, NJ, in connection with incidents reported earlier this month.
Investigation Details
The investigation began on Thursday, March 12, 2026, when the New Jersey Division of Child Protection & Permanency (DCP&P) alerted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged abuse of a juvenile.
The subsequent probe, led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the North Arlington Police Department, revealed that Rady allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a minor within the Borough of North Arlington.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Following the investigation, Rady was taken into custody in Belleville. He currently faces the following charges:

One count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1))

Two counts of third-degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact (N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3a)
After his arrest, Rady was remanded to the Bergen County Jail. Following a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court, he was released pending further legal action.

Prosecutor Musella credited the successful arrest to the coordination between Chief Jeff Angermeyer of the Prosecutor’s Office and Chief Michael Horton of the North Arlington Police Department.
