Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, today was anything but ordinary for the kindergarteners at Ho-Ho-Kus School—it was paws-itively amazing!
The Bergen County Sheriff’s Department teamed up with Sgt. Leonard, Officer Zachmann, and School Resource Officer Allmers to give students an exciting and educational glimpse into the world of law enforcement.
From flashing patrol lights to smiling officers, the children got a front-row seat to what it means to keep a community safe.
🐶 K9 Demonstration Steals the Show
The highlight of the day? A fur-midable K9 demonstration! Students watched in awe as a specially trained police dog performed with precision and skill—showing off the incredible capabilities of K9 units.
In a moment of bravery (and plenty of laughs), SRO Allmers donned the bite sleeve, allowing the K9 to demonstrate a safe and controlled “catch.” Don’t worry—he’s perfectly fine!
👮 Inspiring the Next Generation
This interactive visit wasn’t just fun—it may have sparked dreams of future police officers and K9 handlers among the tiny attendees.
