Kinderkamack Road Speed Limit Reduced to 30 MPH

Mayor Arroyo also confirmed that the Borough of Westwood petitioned Bergen County to reduce the speed limit on Kinderkamack Road through Westwood from 35 MPH to 30 MPH.

This change follows concerns over increased speeding since the new roadway was completed between Westwood Avenue and the Hillsdale border. Speed tracking devices have shown a noticeable uptick in vehicles exceeding 35 MPH.

Safety Reminder for Drivers

With summer in full swing, Mayor Arroyo urged drivers to be mindful of pedestrians, especially campers walking to and from Brookside Park near Lake Street.

“We ask all travelers to drive carefully, respect the new speed limit, and stay alert for families, children, and pedestrians crossing the roadway,” Arroyo said.
