Landscaper helps Schedler house
To the Editor:
One of our most community-spirited landscapers, Mike Tarleton of TLC Landscaping, spent many hours with a full crew to clear away the debris and trim the trees at the neglected Zabriskie-Schedler House last week. The house was covered with dying and overgrown shrubs and tree limbs that needed knowledgeable care. After almost two years of asking our village and thus overworked parks department, and worried about the decay of the house with winter coming on, we asked Mike for help. This was the only way to get the job done.
The Zabriskie-Shcedler house on West Saddle River Road is worth preserving. To let it decay from neglect is not worthy of our town or its leaders. We want to publicly thank the crew of TLC.

thanks to Mike at TLC landscaping for pitching in. It’s nice to know that some are happy to lend a hand.
Mike’s a super guy. A Ridgewood HS Grad and a “Ridgewood Guy” through and through. Will it now be easier to get the demolition equipment closer to the house?
Thank you also to Ellie Gruber. She is always an advocate for the right stuff.
If only she would put in a similar amount of effort trying to bushwack her son’s thicket of obfuscations and unaccountably shifting justifications for the _resident’s nakedly opportunistic healthcare industry takeover legislation and the follow-on scheme of innovation-stifling regulation and steady displacement of private industry activity. Or do his actions constitute a willful sacrifice of personal and political integrity by a statist and reflexive paleoliberal that only a mother could love? Sorry, I just can’t hear the surname these days without calling to mind the blatant wrong he recently committed against out common public interests. Such shameless perfidy should not go unaddressed, particularly if it arises from our particular patch of the political firmament.
WOW #4.
Seriously #4, calm down.
#4 – wasn’t Hans Gruber the arch-villain in “Die Hard” ?
Thank you t l. C. For all that. U do for this great town. We need more people like you.
Obamacare Architect: Lack of Transparency Was Key ..‘Stupidity Of Voter’ Would Have Killed Obamacare

MUST WATCH VIDEO
Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber said that lack of transparency was a major part of getting Obamacare passed because “the stupidity of the American voter” would have killed the law if more people knew what was in it.
Gruber, the MIT professor who served as a technical consultant to the Obama administration during Obamacare’s design, also made clear during a panel quietly captured on video that the individual mandate, which was only upheld by the Supreme Court because it was a tax, was not actually a tax.
“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. Okay, so it’s written to do that. In terms of risk rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in – you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed… Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical for the thing to pass… Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.”
