Paper biodegradable leaf bags are available for pick up at:
Village Hall, The Stable and the Recycling Center (behind Fire Headquarters, 201 E. Glen Ave.)
There is a limit of 10 bags per household while supplies last. All bags should be placed directly in the street on your scheduled collection date. Bags will NOT be collected off the curb.
Reminder – When possible please DO NOT PARK CARS on the street or near piles during your scheduled collection dates.
What is up with leaf collection? Do certain sections of town get their leaves collected while other parts suffer delay after delay? I’m not trying to be a complainer – just would like to understand why year after year it is a pain in the backside to get leaves picked up.
Wouldn’t it be safer to put bagged leaves on the curb rather than in busy streets?
And what’s with all the leaf mountains on Pleasant? It’s a scary game of leaf pile chicken there.
Better get those piles picked up before it snows. How about some leaf rakers? When the leaves get pushed back up on the homeowner’s property it just increases the mess. Hire some part timers for the month.
yea with who. the streets dept is down to 7 workers. every one left and the village never replaced any of them. in 1995 they had 27, in 2000 they had 20,in 2005 they had 15. now 7. my taxes did not go down . what happend to all that pay money. I think we should do tv show on this. I just herd that 2 more workers walked off the job this week. 1 full and 1 part time worker. what the hell is going on.and yet they are worrying about a new manager, screw that hire workers so we get this town back how it should be.
