Mahwah NJ, the spirit of Thanksgiving is alive and well in Mahwah! Ahead of the holiday, the Mahwah PBA Local #143 stepped up in a big way to ensure local families have a centerpiece for their holiday meals.
On Thursday, November 20th, members of the Mahwah PBA Local 143 proudly donated over 90 turkeys to the Center for Food Action (CFA). This tremendous effort will directly impact food security and bring holiday cheer to those in need across our community.
A Big Thank You to Our Community Partners
This massive donation was made possible through an incredible partnership. The officers of PBA Local #143 raised funds and purchased the turkeys, but the impact was doubled thanks to a generous community partner: Inserra Supermarkets.
Inserra Supermarkets, known for their deep commitment to North Jersey communities, matched the PBA’s donation, ensuring that the officers’ efforts went twice as far.
The Mahwah PBA shared their gratitude, stating, “The money and Turkeys our local donated couldn’t have been done without our friends at Inserra Supermarkets who matched our donation. Thank you to everyone who participated to another great cause. Happy Thanksgiving!”
