Ridgewood NJ, Mark your calendars for the annual traditional Ridgewood Tree Lighting Celebration.
But first Ridgewood Needs a tree. The village doesn’t have a Christmas tree., and not just any tree. Ridgewood’s Christmas tree is typically 50 to 75 feet tall. It usually comes from somewhere in the greater Ridgewood area. Downes Tree Service has offered to cut, transport, place and trim the tree for free. The tree will even get a police escort to its home at the end of East Ridgewood Avenue.

It takes a village to make an event like this happen.
Thank You to all who “believe in the Tradition”
Thank You to all of our sponsors.
You would’ve thought many years ago they would’ve planted a tree and be done with it and use that every year. Now every year the looking for someone to donate a tree someone to cut it down transported put it up police escort blah blah blah. Plant a tree already somewhere. This is not New York City.
I cannot wait to experience this magical evening. I have heard so many wonderful stories about this celebration. And so excited to have our shop front row and center to it all!
We will have musicians playing in the shop from the high school. Such fun!
Christopher there is a tree planted exactly for that purpose. It is in Van Neste square.
Chris, like anon said. It’s the one in Van Neste, you know, the garbage tree?
I can’t wait to watch the Tree Lighting from the top of the GINORMOUS GARAGE…
Now that is funny that would be a great view from top of the in the parking garage. I didn’t think of that one.
We have a pretty great tree you could have at 223 S Broad Street! I think it’s big enough. Give me a call 518-321-5918
