TOTOWA, NJ — A three-alarm fire broke out Saturday afternoon, August 3, at Sunbelt Rentals, an equipment rental facility located at 800 Riverview Drive, prompting a widespread emergency response from multiple local fire departments across Passaic County.

The Totowa Police Department confirmed the fire was reported at approximately 1:29 p.m., with emergency personnel quickly dispatched to the scene.

The Prospect Park Fire Department confirmed on social media that it was assisting Totowa officials with containing the intense blaze. Meanwhile, Community Volunteer Fire Company #1 of Wayne also responded to the emergency, highlighting the scale and seriousness of the fire.

“Our team has been requested to assist alongside our neighboring departments to help bring the incident under control and ensure the safety of the community,” the Wayne Fire Department stated on Facebook. “Please avoid the area to allow emergency crews to operate safely.
