With the exception of one mayor in the Village’s recent history, no one has run with the intention of using their time on the council for POLITICAL purposes. Â With a failed congressional run under his belt and a political career stalled at the local level, our carpet-bagging mayor will do whatever he is instructed to by his team at White Horse to advance himself.
The rubber-stamp twins fall into line and…..voila! Gabbert gone. Speaking of White Horse, when was the last time a village council member needed a political consultancy service? The Council/Manager form of Go’vt means little as this mayor and the dimwitted duo have proven time and again. Team up and bully. Aaahh, yes, it’s all about Paul…I mean the village he so loves .

What seat will be open in the next election? I love Frank DelVecchio but I fear what will happen with another politically active Democrat on the council. I would gladly replace any of the three musketeers with DelVecchio.
Riche and Walsh are up in May 2014. We all need to rally behind them to hope they stay. I watched last night and was awestruck at the composure and professionalism of Walsh. More proud of her now than ever before. You go girl!
I like Richie and Walsh too.
I hope that Frank waits one election cycle. He is a Dem on his way up and Ahronson is on his way to obscurity.
#2 your are spot on about Mrs. Walsh. She is always prepared and composed. She is a very effective representative of the citizens of Ridgewood. Not flashy, but very candid and forthcoming.
We need balance on the council, not a bunch of “yes men” for the mayor.
