Saying he feels “lied to,” a North Jersey legislator is asking Gov. Chris Christie to investigate why the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey seems to have told different versions of why it needed a toll hike.
“I believe I’m being lied to, that is unacceptable,” Assemblyman Gary Schaer, a Democrat whose district includes parts of Bergen and Passaic counties, said in an interview. “No one has ever said that government (always) operates effectively.
