Midland Park NJ, earlier this year, local entrepreneur and landscape architect Blythe Yost celebrated the reopening of an established Bergen County landscaping firm with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Yost, who purchased R&S Landscaping in the spring, is determined to transform it into an industry leader in the region.

With a strong background in aesthetics and space planning, Yost brings her expertise to both landscaping and ongoing maintenance services. She shared her vision, stating, “My General Manager is also a woman, and together we are taking a totally different approach to the industry, focusing on customers and quality services first.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly rebranded Rockfield Landscape was officiated by Mayor Harry Shortway of Midland Park. The event was also attended by Wyckoff Mayor Peter Melchionne and Former Mayor Tom Madigan, along with numerous local business owners who showed their support.

Local restaurant Eleven Central catered the event, adding a community touch to the celebration.

Yost, who has been recognized by Forbes as a top 1000 Entrepreneur and by Veranda as a Landscape Architect to Watch, is eager to apply her innovative approach and elevate the standards of landscaping in Bergen County.

  1. I’ve been an R&S Customer for years: replacement beds, irrigation system, entire reno of backyard (“woodland garden”) and seasonal yard/irrigation system maintenance. The gender of the Owner, GM is irrelevant to me, however service, quality and price/value is. Outstanding products , services and reliability are key. So far the transition has gone well and thankfully some key employees have been retained in a very difficult labor market, especially in the aftermath of the covid lockdowns. Their professionalism, communications and service so far has all been positive.
