“If you rethought that or had time to analyze that public health strategy, I don’t know that you would say quarantine everyone,” Cuomo admitted. “I don’t even know that that was the best public health policy. Young people then quarantined with older people was probably not the best public health strategy because the younger people could have been exposing the older people to an infection. “
Cuomo stressed the need for both public health and economic growth. “We have to do both,” said the governor. “We’re working on it.”

I think the quarantine was a great Idea. People stay home. Only going out to get food and medicine . When needed. Closing down schools was a great idea. It would spread threw the schools like a wild fire. Now people please stay home away from people. Go out when you absolutely need too.

You never know 100% what is best, for me it was the best thing. I would not send children, teachers everyone back in public until I know that they going to be safe. Some people just go everywhere not a care for the fellow human. A life is precious, please do not take chances. I think Mr Cuomo is doing a very good job of protecting New Yorkers.

All I can say from the amount of Trump Derangement Syndrome that’s going around is there will be a colossal level of heads exploding when he wins at the end of this year and moves on to another 4 years. He may not be the most articulate at getting his points across but he is the best President in my long lifetime.
Please, don’t let people go back to normal life’s, work, schools until it’s over! People are dying! They are not numbers or percentages as our president said. He said the percentage if deaths is very low! When you loose even 1 member if your family like a son, a mother, grandmother the loss is catastrophic! Please remember, they are real people not numbers. Most of us have pre-existing conditions at any age plus there are many cases where young and healthy people die. The city is not completely close and only partially and this is why this strategy does not work. As for me, every state, every city everything has to be fully closed for 3-4 weeks. In these 4 weeks every infected person will come out and spread will stop and the economy starts growing again. Right now what we have is that people still walking on the street, jogging on the streets, 70% of businesses are open and disease is spreading. In his situation nobody is winning. and if such a situation will continue for 3-4 month business and the economy will lose more then in 1 month shot down and as a result we will get more infected and broke people with sinking economy .

as far as now Mr Governor, it definitely wasn’t a bad idea for leaving all work ppl at home IT WAS AND STILL IS THE BEST IDEA how can you think different at the moment when all those work people have to come home to their loved ones , actually nobody should be out working except the grocery stores supermarkets gas stations and a few others , well of course we need police officers emt’s , fireman and stuff like that but everyone else should be at home don’t come junk or say you think it was a mistake because it wasn’t BY FAR and it shoukd continue to stay that way , my husband works for MTA and he’s putting himself and others at risk especially if they have grandkids as we do so the mta should not be running ppl can find their way around in other ways but again nobody should be going anywhere anyways
